Use the calculator for your bottle-to-liquid calculation and optional budget subtotal. Read perfume minimum order conditions for production scope and the perfume manufacturing cost breakdown for the items to include in a comparable quotation.
How the quantity calculation works
For liquid fills: required kg per scent = units × fill in ml × density in g/ml ÷ 1,000 ÷ (1 − loss%). For solid perfume, fill is in grams and density is not used. All scents in one calculation share the entered unit count, fill, density and loss; run separate plans when specifications differ.
The default example is 500 × 50 ml at an assumed 0.85 g/ml with 3% filling loss: approximately 21.91 kg per scent is required. The usual perfume production starting point is 30 kg per scent, estimated to yield 684 complete fills with those same assumptions. Packaging for the requested 500 units is separate; discuss remaining liquid or a revised unit count. These are planning calculations, not measured production yields.
What the budget subtotal includes
Subtotal = total planned mass × your liquid price/kg + requested units across all scents × (your pack price + your filling price) + your total setup cost + your total freight/other cost. Setup and freight are totals for the entire project, not per scent. The calculator assumes every scent has the same entered prices; include each scent’s development and tooling in the setup total.
Blank cost items are excluded and the number of filled items is shown. Even five completed fields do not prove that every real cost is covered. Put taxes, tests, documentation, extra components and other costs in the appropriate total or request them separately. All entered amounts must use one currency; changing the currency label does not convert values.
