Choose the right cooperation model
We manufacture OEM, ODM and private label perfume at our Guangzhou factory. Your starting assets determine the work plan: bring an established specification for production, develop a new fragrance with our team, or combine our scent resources with your brand and packaging direction.
| Starting point | What the brand supplies | Work to define with Fravanta |
|---|---|---|
| Customer-led OEM | An established specification, formula direction or approved reference | Feasibility, manufacturing inputs, samples, filling and handover |
| Development-led ODM | Customer, market and product objectives | Fragrance or product development alongside manufacturing arrangements |
| Private label | Brand identity and a range brief | Scent route, branded product specifications, packaging and production scope |
These routes can overlap. A brand may bring a bottle and artwork but need a new fragrance, or have an approved scent and need the finished product coordinated. Compare OEM, ODM and private label against the actual work you need.
What the brand brings to the project
Send the target product, intended use, destination market and quantity, together with any formula, reference sample, technical specification or artwork you already control. Identify essential requirements separately from preferences: “must fit this bottle neck” is a production constraint; “a warmer dry-down” is a scent development target.
If you do not have a formula, choose existing scent selection, reference-based matching or custom fragrance development. If you do, explain the available documentation and the permission to use it. Include the sample or specification against which you want the result evaluated.
What the manufacturing project covers
We turn the work into an itemised production scope: formula and samples, component sourcing, decoration, filling, assembly, checks, documents and handover. Our factory carries the agreed manufacturing work through material inspection, first-piece confirmation and in-process checks. Specialist components or additional third-party tests have a named specification and responsibility in the project plan; you approve the formula, physical pack and artwork versions before they are released for the order.
For example, customer-supplied bottles still need dimensional and dispensing compatibility reviewed with the liquid and filling plan. An agreed liquid sample cannot settle the suitability of a pump that has not been specified. Use the production process and quality confirmation pages to prepare these decisions.
Approve the specification before scale-up
- Confirm the brief, roles and development route.
- Review samples and send feedback against a named version.
- Agree the approved formula or reference, carrier, concentration direction and product use.
- Confirm fill quantity, components, artwork, order quantities and checks.
- Confirm required documents, production arrangements and handover responsibilities.
Timing follows the agreed work and the availability of approvals and components. Changes to formula, bottle, artwork or destination after approval should be recorded and reviewed for their effect on the remaining scope.
Rights, documents and quotation scope
Agree formula use, exclusivity if requested, confidentiality and rights to supplied designs before relying on a development arrangement. Bespoke work does not automatically transfer every formula right or grant unlimited exclusivity. Product documents likewise need an issuing party, relevant version and actual product scope; see documentation planning.
Ask the quotation to distinguish development, liquid, packaging, filling and delivery, plus excluded work, taxes, currency and validity. Discuss your OEM/ODM project with the assets you already have and the work you want included.
Contract manufacturing: agree the repeat-order standard
For repeat production, we connect the approved formula and sample version with component specifications, agreed acceptance criteria, inspection records and batch identification. We keep production references and retain batch samples for three and a half years so a reorder or quality enquiry can be compared with the correct batch. Agree the treatment of changes, formula rights, confidentiality and responsibilities for non-conforming goods in the manufacturing scope. Our company and manufacturing documents have their own named site, issuing body and scope. See quality confirmation.
