BUYER QUESTIONS

Answers for planning a fragrance project.

Find clear answers on perfume minimums, scent development, samples, packaging, product scope and delivery preparation, with links to the detailed procurement pages.

Minimums and quantities

What is the usual perfume minimum? Usually 30 kg of perfume liquid per scent. It is a net liquid mass, not a fixed number of bottles. Different scents are assessed separately; a combined quantity should not be assumed to satisfy each scent’s minimum.

How many bottles does that make? It depends on the net fill, the actual product density when filling by volume, and production allowances. For illustration only, 30,000 g divided by a 50 g fill gives 600 theoretical fills before loss. A 50 ml fill is not necessarily 50 g. See quantity planning.

Do all products and components use that minimum? No. Samples, packaging, fragrance formats and personal care have separate quantity considerations. Tell us the desired units or mass for each item, even if your estimate is below the usual perfume starting point.

Scent selection and development

Can I choose an existing direction? We shortlist from 2,000+ fragrance formula resources. Scent selection starts from your product, customer and preferences, followed by samples. The count describes resources, rather than a public list of stock products or automatic exclusive rights.

Can I bring a reference? Yes, reference-based matching begins with a lawfully obtained sample or clear reference and the qualities to retain or change. The target and evaluation need agreement; complete identity and third-party brand affiliation are not implied.

Can I develop a new brand scent? Custom development uses the audience, emotional direction, product and market brief. Development scope, formula use, confidentiality and any exclusivity are discussed separately; bespoke work does not automatically confer unlimited rights.

Samples and approval

What should I send for samples? The product and base, target market, scent direction or reference, quantity and packaging idea. State what you want to decide through sampling. Physical reference-sending arrangements are confirmed after the initial discussion.

What do samples cost and how long do they take? Fees, sample scope, revisions and delivery arrangements are project-specific. A selection-led request and a new development brief can involve different work. Review sampling.

How should I give feedback? Identify the version and conditions, describe what to keep and change, and consolidate reviewer comments. The copyable evaluation record helps. Scent approval does not by itself approve packaging, final quantity or documents.

Packaging, documents and delivery

Can the project cover finished branded products? Private label and OEM/ODM discussion can include packaging, decoration, filling and finished products. Packaging scope must define the components, who supplies them and the relevant minimums and approvals.

Which documents are available? We provide our company and manufacturing information, including the named ISO 22716 and third-party GMP documents, and plan the product files against your formula, application and destination. Send the precise requirements so we can identify the relevant records and any additional work. Plan the documentation.

Is international delivery included? The delivery scope, carrier responsibilities, receiving and import arrangements need agreement. A quotation should state inclusions and exclusions; fixed transit time, freight cost or DDP service should not be assumed. Prepare the shipment.

What happens after an enquiry

Send your name, email, target market and product direction, plus any useful project detail. Choose a quote, sample or development request. A recorded submission confirms receipt of the enquiry; it is not an automatic quotation, accepted order or production booking.

The next project discussion clarifies the specification and work involved. If a submission fails, use the displayed error information rather than assuming it was received. Start your enquiry with the current decisions and the question you want to resolve next.

Our factory and production records

Where do you manufacture? We are Guangzhou Laiyue Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Our factory is in Building E, Weiguan Cosmetics Creative Industrial Park, No. 18 Huahui Road, Huashan Town, Huadu District, Guangzhou. Fravanta is our specialist overseas fragrance website. Meet our factory.

Can I see the factory before an order? Ask us for a live video walkthrough or arrange an on-site visit. Send your time zone, participants and the development or production areas you want to discuss. We coordinate the visit through the project enquiry.

How do you connect a production batch to the approved sample? We use sample and formula versions, component specifications, first-piece and process checks, batch records and retained samples. We retain batch samples for three and a half years to support traceability and quality enquiries. See our quality process.
