Define the bottle, dispensing system, decoration and box before comparing packaging offers. Use the perfume packaging specification checklist to record component details, and request packaging references with your perfume samples.
Agree the packaging cooperation scope
We coordinate perfume packaging with formulation, filling and assembly at our Guangzhou factory. Bring a preferred bottle, artwork or a brand concept; our team helps define the bottle, dispenser, closure, decoration and outer pack, with the work and sourcing responsibilities listed in your offer.
State whether you want component options reviewed, have an existing bottle to use, or will supply finished packaging. Identify who sources each part, supplies artwork, checks fit, approves appearance and coordinates filling or assembly. This makes a packaging request actionable before any particular component is assumed to be available.
Compare packaging development routes
| Route to consider | Why a brand may choose it | What still needs checking |
|---|---|---|
| Existing component design | Work within a component specification that is already available for review | Actual availability, dimensions, finish, compatibility and minimums |
| Adapted or partly customised pack | Develop brand appearance around selected component types | Decoration process, colour, artwork, sample approval and quantity |
| New custom component or tooling | Pursue a particular form or functional requirement | Feasibility, tooling responsibility, costs, samples, ownership and timing |
We compare the available component specification and quantity with your desired finish. Labels, screen printing, colour coating, frosting or foil details bring different artwork, process and sample-approval needs; caps, cartons and gift inserts are considered with the assembled pack. The quotation identifies which choices and development work are included.
Confirm the parts work together
The same nominal capacity does not make two bottles or pumps interchangeable. Review bottle dimensions, neck finish, dispensing or applicator specifications, closure, seal and material compatibility with the intended liquid. Consider how the user opens, carries and applies the product as well as how it looks.
We inspect incoming packaging and review compatibility and sealing with the actual product. Bottle neck, pump or applicator, gasket, closure and decoration must fit the approved assembly. We agree the checking method and acceptance criteria for your pack, then confirm the first assembled pieces before the run continues. Bulk-liquid projects also have a specified receiving container and closure.
Approve artwork and physical specifications
Keep the artwork version, print or decoration placement, colours, label dimensions, text languages and outer-pack details aligned with the physical specification. Identify the sample or proof that is being approved and the party authorised to approve it. Changes after approval should be recorded rather than left in an email with no link to the version.
Use the packaging specification checklist to assemble the information. Include the target market so required label information can be reviewed with the relevant responsible parties. An artwork approval and a formula approval are separate records, even when the same person approves both.
Separate packaging from the liquid quote
Ask for the quotation scope to distinguish liquid, bottle and dispensing parts, decoration, labels, boxes, filling, assembly and delivery. State the currency, tax treatment, exclusions and validity. Packaging minimums can differ from the liquid minimum and from one component to another.
For perfume, the usual 30 kg per-scent liquid minimum is not a fixed finished-bottle count. Review minimum order planning, private label cooperation or OEM/ODM responsibilities, then request a packaging discussion with the component details and quantity.
Stock bottle versus custom mold: compare the whole project
An existing bottle with a label avoids requesting a new glass mold, but still needs availability, neck/pump fit and component minimums checked. Screen printing introduces artwork and setup decisions. A custom mold, magnetic cap, heavy glass or gift box adds development, tooling, proofs, component quantities and packed weight to review. Request the mold ownership, maintenance, reorder conditions and setup costs separately; compare development cost ÷ planned units alongside recurring pack cost. Model your budget.
