PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Private label solid perfume manufacturing.

We develop private label solid perfume, balancing wax/oil texture, scent release, pickup, warmth during handling and the container or stick format.

Define the balm base and texture

We develop and manufacture solid perfume around a fragrance and a wax/oil base that give the intended pickup, glide and finish. Define how firm or soft the product should feel and whether it belongs in a portable stick, tin, compact or dressing-table pack.

A portable personal fragrance and a product designed for a dressing-table ritual may need different texture and packaging decisions. Start with that use occasion, then describe the desired scent. A chosen library fragrance, a reference or a bespoke brief can guide the scent development, with suitability reviewed in the solid base.

Choose a container specification

A solid product needs a container that supports access and secure closure. Capacity alone does not describe whether it will work for the intended use.

Component Specification to discuss
Container Proposed shape, material, dimensions and target net mass
Access Opening or application method appropriate to the texture
Closure Fit, seal and handling requirements
Branding Decoration area, label and artwork version
Outer pack Material, size, presentation and protection requirements

Treat a tin, jar or another proposed format as a design direction until the actual available component and product fit have been confirmed. Solid filling and finished mass should be specified for this product, rather than borrowed from liquid-perfume assumptions.

Evaluate under the intended use conditions

Review the identified sample according to the agreed product instructions. Record texture, pickup, application experience and fragrance character, as well as the use and storage conditions relevant to the brief. Keep feedback about scent separate from feedback about firmness or the container opening.

If a temperature range, storage condition or stability assessment matters to your market and distribution plan, agree the checking scope and acceptance criteria for the actual formula and pack. A sample’s first appearance or a concept description is not a completed stability result.

We balance base structure and fragrance with the package and destination conditions. Compare firmness, pickup, glide, oil separation or sweating, and the scent left after application. A warmer distribution environment makes softening, product movement and closure cleanliness important sample questions. Agree the temperature and handling checks for the actual formula and pack before approval.

Approve the solid perfume specification

The approval record should identify the sample and revision, base texture, scent, target fill mass, container, closure, artwork and any outstanding conditions. If one of these changes, review the parts of the approval affected by that change before production.

Confirm formula quantity, component and decoration minimums, filling responsibilities, requested documents and delivery scope together. Solid-perfume minimums are set for the actual project; the usual liquid-perfume quantity is not automatically applied. The sample process explains the development discussion, and the packaging page explains cooperation on the pack.

Develop a perfume balm for your brand

Send a solid-perfume brief with your target customer, market, scent direction, desired texture, proposed pack and estimated quantity. References are useful when you explain both what you like and what you want to change.

Compare a solid with a spray for your launch

A solid format can change the applicator, portable pack and transport discussion, but does not automatically remove every dangerous-goods or destination requirement. Compare texture, melting or softening behaviour, pay-off and closure under the intended use conditions. Budget by net grams rather than converting ml to grams. The project planner uses mass directly for solids and does not apply the perfume-liquid 30 kg rule to this category.

Density and production assumptions

0.85 g/ml and 3% loss are editable examples, not measured specifications. Use the density of the approved formula. Solid fills use grams directly.

Add your own cost assumptions (optional)

All prices are your inputs in one currency. Blank items are excluded, not zero-priced. No Fravanta price or freight rate is prefilled.
