Check fit before requesting a quote
A useful supplier shortlist begins with the product you need to buy. Define the application, carrier or base, market, quantity by scent or variant, preferred development route and required handover. Ask each manufacturer whether that request matches its actual scope before comparing a headline price.
Check the manufacturing location and the entity that will quote and supply the project. We are Guangzhou Laiyue Biotechnology Co., Ltd., manufacturing in Huadu, Guangzhou through our specialist Fravanta website. You can review our factory, request a live video walkthrough or arrange an on-site visit, then use the same project checklist to compare the actual scope and quotation.
Ask questions that reveal responsibilities
| Area | Question for the supplier | Useful answer or material to request |
|---|---|---|
| Development | What inputs do you need and what will you develop? | Brief, sampling route and revision terms |
| Production | Which steps are in your scope and which involve collaborators? | Project-specific process and responsibility list |
| Components | Who sources the bottle, dispenser, decoration and box? | Component specifications and supply split |
| Filling | Is the offer liquid-only, filling or an assembled product? | Explicit included and excluded steps |
| Quality | What checks are proposed for this formula and pack? | Checking scope and acceptance reference |
| Documents | Which product-specific information can be provided? | Document names, issuer or responsible party and version |
| Delivery | Where and how is the order handed over? | Terms, carrier responsibilities and destination inputs |
An OEM or ODM label does not answer these questions by itself. Compare the actual manufacturing scope, and ask about any step that remains unclear rather than filling it in from a general service description.
Use samples as a shared reference
Ask how samples are identified, what application or formula they represent, how feedback is recorded and how the approved version becomes the production reference. Confirm sample fees, revision scope and expected scheduling for your brief.
Evaluate the samples consistently and record specific observations. A reference should identify the scent and version, carrier and concentration where relevant, intended use and accepted features. Packaging needs its own physical and artwork approval, plus an agreed compatibility and checking scope. Sample evaluation guidance helps make that evidence comparable across suppliers.
Compare the same quantity and scope
Use the same formula target, number of scents, quantity per scent, net fill, pack, decoration and assembly request. Compare currency, taxes, development and formula rights, quote validity and delivery handover. A lower number can reflect different inclusions rather than a lower price for the same result.
Document availability also needs comparison at product and version level. A general certification statement should not replace a clear answer about the documents requested for your product. Keep shipping preparation separate from manufacturing acceptance so that destination and carrier needs are addressed before dispatch.

Copy one record for each candidate supplier and fill it with its answers, not assumptions.

Use the comparison to resolve material gaps, then choose against the project’s requirements. Discuss your scope with Fravanta if you want a manufacturer response to the same checklist; no generic supplier ranking can replace that project fit assessment.
