Define what alcohol-free means for the project
We develop alcohol-free perfume around the carrier, scent and application you want to sell. Define the ingredients to exclude, target market and use experience; our team then evaluates the non-alcohol base, fragrance and dispensing format together.
Alcohol-free describes a formula requirement. It does not automatically mean oil-based, natural, halal-certified or suitable for every user. If certification or a particular ingredient statement is part of your buying requirement, identify the exact claim and the evidence needed before artwork is approved. Oil-based perfume is a separate finished-product direction to compare.
Agree the use and packaging
The desired feel and application should guide the base and container together. A brief for a sprayable product needs a different dispensing conversation from a product applied in small amounts through another opening.
| Decision | Useful buyer input |
|---|---|
| Application | Intended use, amount and consumer instructions to develop |
| Base experience | Desired feel, appearance, residue and any reference product |
| Fragrance | Character, strength, disliked notes and reference features |
| Container | Fill size, material, opening or dispenser and closure |
| Market | Destination, label language and requested product statements |
A preferred pack is a design input until its suitability with the actual base has been confirmed. Discuss packaging responsibilities alongside the formula rather than treating the dispenser as a final cosmetic choice.
Compare the sample in the intended use
Evaluate the identified sample against the agreed use instructions. Record the scent at your chosen observation points, the base experience, appearance and dispensing behaviour. Keep the sample number and revision visible in your feedback so that the development team can reproduce the discussion.
If comparing with an alcohol-based perfume, use a consistent reference and evaluation setting, while noting the change of carrier. The same fragrance name or percentage does not make the two products equivalent. Describe the difference you want to close, such as a less oily feel or a softer opening, and separate it from the scent features you want to preserve.
A water-based direction needs the fragrance to disperse in that base and stay suitable for the intended spray. We review solubilisation, appearance, separation, skin feel and preservation requirements with the formula. An oil-based direction instead puts carrier feel, clarity and controlled application at the centre of the comparison. Simply replacing ethanol with water is a new formulation task, not a change of label.
Confirm the production specification
Fravanta’s usual perfume minimum is 30 kg of liquid per scent. For an alcohol-free project, confirm the actual base, formula, packaging, order quantity and supply scope together. There is no automatic bottle-count equivalent; fill size, density and loss affect the calculation, while component minimums are separate.
The approved specification should identify the formula and carrier, sample version, fill, container, dispenser, labels and agreed checks. Sample fees, revisions and production timing are confirmed for the project through the sample process.
Discuss your alcohol-free perfume
Send your project brief with the intended application, target market, alcohol-free requirement, scent direction and estimated quantity. A reference base or a clear description of the desired feel is useful even when the final formula and pack are still open.
Water-based, vegan and ingredient-led requests
For a water-based brief, identify the intended carrier, clarity, skin feel, preservation and dispenser requirements; alcohol-free does not by itself mean water-based. Vegan, cruelty-free, organic and clean-beauty requirements are separate requests. Specify the claim, market and supporting material required for the actual formula and supply chain. We review the required supporting material for the selected formula and market before those statements enter the artwork. Compare the application sample with oil-based perfume.
